There are five separate editions now covering the UK (see map below). The edition of The Big Issue available in London is also sold on the south coast, in the Midlands, East Anglia and the North East. The other editions are: The Big Issue South West, The Big Issue Cymru (Wales), The Big Issue in the North and The Big Issue Scotland.

Although each region is a separate company, all share the same principles and work as a national network, exchanging ideas and editorial copy. The regional coverage of TBI means that the companies can respond to local needs, adapting the basic principles of The Big Issue to provide the best opportunities for people facing homelessness.
